Bristol Fire Stations

Location: Bristol, CT
Project Type: Existing Conditions and Feasibility Study
Project Cost: TBD
Completion: TBD
Square Footage: Varies

Kaestle Boos Associates evaluated four of the City of Bristol’s five fire stations to determine the options for renovations to each facility.  Mitchell Associate Architects worked with KBA to determine the programmatic needs for each station’s current and future staff.  Assessments consisted of structural evaluations, including roofs, building efficiency including windows, heating, electrical and plumbing systems and building codes, operational accommodations, inclusion of telecom closets and whether each facility can be used as emergency shelters.  The sites were evaluated for the addition of drive-through bays and training towers and facilities.  The final report, with conceptual drawings and costs estimates, was completed in 2008.
