Upon completion of a feasibility study, it was determined that a new high school would need to be built for the City of North Haven. This new facility houses 1,300 students and includes 10 science classrooms and a media center with outdoor seating. The facility also includes a full size field house accommodating 1,500 people, a 650 seat performing arts center, a greenhouse and trade classrooms including a culinary arts program and shop classes.
New athletic fields are currently in construction. The building is projected to consume nearly 2.25 million kWh less electricity than a comparable "base case" building, saving the town of North Haven as much as $247,000 in annual energy costs.
