Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. analyzed the modifications necessary to update and expand the historic 1880 New Britain City Hall. Extensive restoration was performed to the exterior facade, including powerwashing, repointing of masonry, window replacement, roof replacement, repair of roof soffit and oak outlooks. Interior restoration included extensive refitting, cleaning and polishing of marble wainscots and floors. Code updates and a major addition were completed, bringing the completed facility to approximately 90,000 s.f. All renovations and restorations were in strict compliance with the Connecticut Historical Society.
